Unlike other jobs it does not have an office, or a specific work location or stipulated work hours. The best part about it is that you are your own boss. Your earnings are entirely dependent on your performance on the poker table. It surely sounds like a casual approach but it is not. Poker is a difficult profession but like other professions it has its sets of benefits and positive effects.

A poker professional has many advantages. He can organize his day in a constructive manner. You plan vacations and family outings. You are your own boss so you need to decide your working hours. You need have intellect if you want to carve a niche in the poker circuit. Poker is a very glamorous but a demanding profession. You may end up spending all the nights at the casino and your personal life may be taxed heavily by it.

One of the biggest positive effects of poker is that you can plan your working hours as per your wish and discretion. Your performance determines your working hours. The level of commitment towards the game would result in achievement of your monetary goals.

Since you can play poker anytime now because poker games are available online you increase your earnings in a swift manner. All you need to so is organize your entire day. You can cook, clean and do your daily chores along with playing poker in a hassle free manner.

Money is the biggest positive aspect of this profession. In a matter of four hours may win a great amount or lose as well. This dynamic profession gives you the freedom to live life on your terms and conditions.

You and your family can go on many tours as tournaments are held in various parts of the world. So for you it would be a business trip combined with a vacation.

Poker is a great game which requires patience and practicality when killing the donkeys. Mathematical calculations help but not always. You need to keep reading articles and books to enhance your knowledge to perform better at tournaments. It is good way to get back to reading.

Poker has many positive effects on players and their families. Along with the positive effects there are few negative impacts also. Imbibing alcohol frequently, erratic working hours and spending endless nights at the casino may have a detrimental effect your social life.

Players encounter diverse situations when they play poker on multi-tables. Players experience a greater level of difference while playing poker on multi-tables. Playing on multi-tables increases the probability of making errors as attentiveness is divided and the sentiment of being focused and refreshed is missing.

Poker players find it tricky to measure the tactic adopted by their opponents and in due course of time you may even become a conventional player and an easy target for the opponents. In the process of switching tables you may end up in making deplorable mistakes and it may cost you greatly.

Different players have diverse opinion on playing at multi-tables. Many players believe that it is a waste of time and money as it is not always possible to take an apt judgment which is the need of that situation. Players feel that to some extent the crucial decisions also get affected resulting in loss of money. Mostly, players have confessed that while multi-tabling they are not able to play their paramount game. Constraint of methodical thinking and devoting the right time is a concern. And to top it all attention is at odds.

As a coin has two sides to it playing on multi-tables has its own sets of advantages. Playing on mutli-tables may teach discipline and patience. Players are exposed to varying degree of games which may require their attentiveness and finesse to pull of the game. Playing with finesse on different tables is difficult as the game is at different stages, the pots vary and so do the players. But if you think as a gambler your earning per hour will shoot up. Hence, your overall earnings will augment and the magnitude of chances to win games will increase as well. One of the golden rules that you should resort to is that you should shun getting distracted and implement simple themes for the games that are being played.

Since you are playing with different set of players at multi-tables one of the best ways to remember the diverse games is penning down the notes of each table .This would help in a systematic way of concluding a decision. This instructive way of playing will also keep you abreast of your cards and the strategy used by the opponents on the different tables. You should always occupy he same seat on the poker table as it would help you relax and you would know exactly where to look and play your game in an efficient way.

A lot of articles that you will be reading will remind you to be consistent with your game. As far as this may be true in some aspects, there will be times when you need to change pace to outwit, outclass, and outmaneuver all the other opposing players.

If you play your game too consistently, other players will be able to read what kind of player you are once they see you. You will be predictable in the table and you can be bullied around in the table as a result. Be like Stu Ungar (photo right) and Sam Farha – completely unpredictable!

As you read your opponents, switch up your pace and do things that they do not expect. Bluff when they think you will not and play straight when they think you will bluff. Add some mystery to your playing and you will be bringing home more pots in the long run.

It can be presented here mathematically how changing pace can win you games but it will be better if we use some analogies. If you will be playing soccer and you need to win games, you need to learn how to read the goalie of the opponent. When he tends to go left more, you tap the ball to the right and there will be a high potential that you will here the swish of the net.

Look at Kobe Bryant, while dribbling the ball his mind will process his possible moves like a super computer or even better. Will he go to the left or right of the defender? Does the defender think he wants to cross over, fake, and dunk the ball? When least expected, he releases the ball from beyond the arch and swoosh! The defender is caught flat footed.

Same is true for poker. Do some crossovers when least expected and catch your opponents wide eyed wondering what just happened. You will be going home and sleeping with a smile on your face.
