Johnny Chan is NOT invincible
Johnny Chan plays like a maniac, plays strong poker – and I absolutely love it. The biggest problem is – he’s not a player of the 21st Century. I’m not talking about this hand – but I’m talking about Johnny Chan in general. What has Chan won in the last ten years? In cash games, he’s LOSING money…
NUFF RESPECT CHRIS MONEYMAKER!!!!
Joe Navarro’s Top Poker Tells
This is actually extremely valuable. The “LIP PURSE” is a tell I didn’t know before – but Joe Navarro is extremely genius in explaining it – I love it!
Mike Matusow on Poker Tells
The way someone puts money in the pot is a GREAT tell. People hardly ever pay attention to their own actions when putting chips in a pot, and just like in Mike Caro’s Poker Tell Book – ALWAYS pay attention to yourself!
Thanks Mikey Matusow for the tip!
Dazzling Tips for Multi-table Tournament Strategy
Players encounter diverse situations when they play poker on multi-tables. Players experience a greater level of difference while playing poker on multi-tables. Playing on multi-tables increases the probability of making errors as
attentiveness is divided and the sentiment of being focused and refreshed is missing.
Poker players find it tricky to measure the tactic adopted by their opponents and in due course of time you may even become a conventional player and an easy target for the opponents. In the process of switching tables you may end up in making deplorable mistakes and it may cost you greatly.
Different players have diverse opinion on playing at multi-tables. Many players believe that it is a waste of time and money as it is not always possible to take an apt judgment which is the need of that situation. Players feel that to some extent the crucial decisions also get affected resulting in loss of money. Mostly, players have confessed that while multi-tabling they are not able to play their paramount game. Constraint of methodical thinking and devoting the right time is a concern. And to top it all attention is at odds.

John Juanda & Jennifer Harman – Set over Set
Beautiful poker hand between the ever so talented John Juanda and female superstar Jennifer Harman. I like Juanda’s play, but this is a very knitty fold anyway. This is the analysis one of the commenters made:
“i agree that it wasnt a terrible fold.. board texture, jens image, probably history there between them.. also like what is she value betting on the turn and river that he beats? he cant really put her on a set because it’s so unlikely that they both have sets..
i agree with slicer in that if he goes with his read.. its fine to call turn and try to boat up.. since he didnt he went with it and happened to be wrong..”
Mike Matusow flipping $1000 multihanded and DRUNK
They’re flipping, but why would you do that against Mike Matusow? He’s a fishcake – just PLAY him!
Sam Farha pwns Phil Hellmuth
Sam Farha plays his Queen Six suited (LOL) to the maximum against Phil Hellmuth (making a ridiculous call on the river).
The junk Phil talks after the hand is superfunny, because Sammy actually had Phil crushed from flop ’till river. Poker After Dark is the best.
Changing Pace to Outwit Other Poker Players
A lot of articles that you will be reading will remind you to be consistent with your game. As far as this may be true in some aspects, there will be times when you need to change pace to outwit, outclass, and outmaneuver all the other opposing players.
If you play your game too consistently, other players will be able to read what kind of player you are once they see you. You will be predictable in the table and you can be bullied around in the table as a result. Be like Stu Ungar (photo right) and Sam Farha – completely unpredictable!
As you read your opponents, switch up your pace and do things that they do not expect. Bluff when they think you will not and play straight when they think you will bluff. Add some mystery to your playing and you will be bringing home more pots in the long run.
It can be presented here mathematically how changing pace can win you games but it will be better if we use some analogies. If you will be playing soccer and you need to win games, you need to learn how to read the goalie of the opponent. When he tends to go left more, you tap the ball to the right and there will be a high potential that you will here the swish of the net.
Look at Kobe Bryant, while dribbling the ball his mind will process his possible moves like a super computer or even better. Will he go to the left or right of the defender? Does the defender think he wants to cross over, fake, and dunk the ball? When least expected, he releases the ball from beyond the arch and swoosh! The defender is caught flat footed.
Same is true for poker. Do some crossovers when least expected and catch your opponents wide eyed wondering what just happened. You will be going home and sleeping with a smile on your face.
